Sadly, I am sorry to say that Rob Okorn has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and has passed away. Diagnosed in late 2024, he was just 53 years old. He was a loving son, brother, husband and father to two boys. He was also an FDNY firefighter In Ladder 158 for his entire career who bravely helped with the recovery efforts after 9/11. The number of firefighters and first responders being diagnosed with cancer related to 9/11 is staggering.
